There’s nothing like getting totally
soaked
to shake loose the
Monday Blues!

It was a little bit wet this morning wasn’t it?
I got slightly damp to say the least.

Still
it didn’t dampen my whole day,
in fact,
I read a study in the International Journal of Sports Medicine
(oOo I know, get me eh?!)
that showed
exercising in colder, wetter climates
actually
makes you work harder
and
burn more calories.

Pretty good news seeing as I
workout outside most of the time
and it’s often cold and wet…:/

So
a rather manic but marvelous
Monday
that
has helped get this
new week started right!

Mondays are plan days in my house.

Workouts next…

Planning it all out for the week,
seeing it black and white
makes me stick to it
&
to me
if it’s planned…
I better do it, or something like it.
(nothing worse than Kev asking how my workout went and me admitting I didn’t do it!)

I always plan
workouts that don’t take too long
and can
be done at home
because if I’m not working
I have the little L’s with me
so it has to accommodate them…
but
then there is no excuse for not doing it.

Lastly, meal plans…

A quick flick through my books, magazines
&
scan through BBC GOOD FOOD
(my best food friend)
Chicken, Fish, bit of Red Meat, plenty of veg
done.

I plan breakfast,
lunch,
dinner
and
snacks

Makes busy lives easier
and
avoids the mid afternoon
“what can I eat”
rummage through cupboards
hunting for
something sweet
to curb the hunger pangs.

Preparation is the the key to success.

We do it with everything else in our lives,
why not do it for our own
health and fitness?

Make the time to do it,
I promise you,
your future self will thank you for it.

Breakfast – Oats, raisins, sliced banana, mixed fresh berries, almonds, greek yoghurt
