Thank Goodness It's Friday….it's time for a little treat!

Have you been working hard lately?  Juggling mummy duties with going to work, rushing for trains, cooking meals, washing, ironing, sorting out husbands (!) fitting in your fitness, watching your diet – you name it, Mums – how do we do it!?.

Well maybe it’s time to take a little pampering break.   Come on ladies, you deserve it – let’s take just a little break from our lives!

Just for tonight…..Forget about whatever it is you think you have to get ready for everyone else and give yourself some TLC tonight.  Forget that load of washing, don’t empty the dishwasher, the shopping can be done tomorrow, bills can wait and emails can get answered on Sunday!  Turn your mobile phone off and try these simple, little luxuries instead:

  • Run a bath.  Have a little soak – nothing feels as great as a nice warm bath when the children are finally asleep.  Add some fancy bath oil if you have it, or make your own with a little grapeseed oil and lavender and rosemary.  Light a few candles, shut your eyes and forget about life for a few minutes….
  • Make it Movie night.  Don’t have time to go to the cinema  or watch your favourite movie without the children these days?  Well turn your lounge into a cinema tonight!  This is your time, hire the latest movie on itunes, grab some microwave popcorn (salted not sweet!) sit back and indulge.
  • Rather read?  Cosy up in bed, or find a quiet spot and read that novel you’ve been meaning to start, catch up on the latest gossip in your favourite magazine, or even read the newspaper!
  • Sleep in….go on…just this once!  Ask hubby to get up with the children tomorrow. It feels great to just hop into bed and know you can sleep for as long as your body needs without any interruption – & seriously, you need to catch up – it’s good for you!

Enjoy tonight, just for tonight because tomorrow…..it’s back to it!
