Let’s get strong together today! Have a go at 3 Let’s get strong together today! 
Have a go at 3-5 sets of the allocated reps for each exercise in this strength, mobility & balance workout.

Start with a mobility warm up for 3-5 mins -not in reel but do things like arm circles forward & back, hip circles, toe touches & reach, marching on the spot etc 

Then do the exercises shown in order:

Glute Activation Lunge x 10 each side 
Push Press with Overhead Reach x 10 
Goblet Squat x 10 
Back Extension with Arms Up & Over x 10 
Side Plank Hip External Rotation x 10 each side 
Drop Squat x 20 
High Plank Leg Extension x 10 each side 
Single leg Balance with Rotation x 10 each side 

Finish with a stretch and relaxation for 5 minutes and you’re done ✅ 

Drink lots of water to go with it 💦

Sometimes when we’re thinking about trimming a l Sometimes when we’re thinking about trimming a little body fat, losing a little weight, increasing energy levels and getting fitter, we instantly think about what we need to decrease or cut out of our lives… 
Well how about instead of focusing on cutting back, we think about the many great things we can ADD in or increase in our life instead? 
Simply drinking more water EVERYDAY 
Eating more fibrous fruit & veg EVERYDAY
Walking a little more EVERYDAY
Getting more sleep EVERY NIGHT
& trying to lift heavy stuff - be it a little workout with weights or even some basic strength exercises using our own body weight - EVERY OTHER DAY

All of these simple things enjoyed consistently, over time will help you feel better, have more energy and may help towards a better body composition without that feeling of restriction…
It’s that time of year that I remind ALL of my c It’s that time of year that I remind ALL of my clients not to worry about going on holiday and skipping the odd workout or eating the odd desert, or drinking a few cocktails - the most long term success I’ve seen over the years I’ve been a health & fitness coach (& it’s been a few 😜) comes from those who CAN skip the odd workout, CAN enjoy an ice cream AND DON’T let it throw them into a spiral of despair that they’re ‘OFF TRACK’ 

The ones who DON’T  let one skipped workout or one slightly less healthy meal choice derail them and let it turn into 2 weeks worth of bad meals and skipped workouts - the ones who eat the ice cream with no guilt & get back to their healthy meals right away- they’re the ones who get the long term success & feel great. 

Getting right back on track is the key to living an energised life & reaching your goals 

Sure - I’ll tell you consistency and knowledge are powerful but having the mindset that you just need to jump straight back into your healthy, active lifestyle after a day off is going to keep you away from ‘struggling’ to stay fit and instead making fitness & good food a part if your daily balanced life instead. 

It really is how you choose to look at it & I’m telling you if you do take a day or two off - don’t feel guilty - just get moving again as soon as you can…

YOU CAN DO IT.

Many people put off starting an exercise programme because their belief is that they need ‘more time’ or a certain skill to exercise effectively AND they feel they need to change everything all at once. 

It’s NOT all or nothing.

1 is better than 0

So if the only thing you can commit to right now is a 10 minute walk - do that.

If you can do that 3 times a week - GREAT 

If you can do that daily - AWESOME

But if the only healthy habit you can do right now is to drink more water, well then drink more water - that’s great too! 🙌

No matter your age or fitness level, it’s never too late to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

Don’t look for big and fast results.

The greatest wins come from small steps of change you make each day. 

Take one step at a time & you’ll be on your way to success.

A great “move it to the music” routine to help get everyone involved… kids love a little movement that fits with music - especially these two little dancers and gymnasts!

So rather than nipping off to do your own workout or dropping the kids at sports practice & sitting scrolling in your car how about making fitness a family affair today?

A little fitness together makes physical activity SO MUCH more fun!

And no matter how old you are, fitness is very important for your health as is diet, & exercise should be fun in order to do it on a regular basis. 

Not only that but by doing it together helps you keep everyone motivated to keep going! 

And no matter if you’re 5 or 55 exercise helps you feel GREAT, improves self esteem, helps manage stress, increases energy levels, improves sleep, increases muscle strength, improves heart health & strength, supports bone mass to name a few things…

And by doing a few fun fitness activities together with the family you not only get to spend quality time together but you are being a great role model, teaching your children to enjoy movement & physical activity and form healthy habits early in life - which studies show makes it more likely for them to stay active throughout their lives ❤️

Well OK…I’m a bit late on this one, we’re ju Well OK…I’m a bit late on this one, we’re just under half a year left now but still, we have five and a half months left of this year and still so much to achieve! 

If we sprinkle a little hard work, discipline & consistency and mix it all together we have the perfect formula for feeling GREAT 
And you know what? 
It doesn’t need to be complicated or take lots of time each day or interfere with having fun… 
You CAN enjoy the summer, weekends, birthdays & holidays AND look after your health and wellness at the same time.

Ask yourself what it would look like if it were easy?  Then go after it - hold yourself accountable and get it done little by little EVERY DAY.

You might just be totally amazed at what you are capable of and how that will make you feel 5 months from now if you prioritise working on you.

🍌 BANANA & SULTANA BREAD Fancy something a lit 🍌 BANANA & SULTANA BREAD

Fancy something a little sweet without the added FAT? 

Try making this Banana & Sultana Cake it’s delicious and SO easy to put together with minimal ingredients 🙌 

🍌 5 medium/large Bananas peeled
🥚 2 Eggs beaten
🍭 6oz Brown Sugar
🍇 4oz Sultanas 
🧑‍🍳 8oz Self-raising Flour

🍌 Mash bananas in bowl
🥚 Add eggs
🍭 Add sugar 
🍇 Add sultanas 
🍞 Mix in flour.
🧑‍🍳 Place in lined 2lb loaf tin.
⏲️ Bake for 1.5 hours at 180C Fan

Leave to cool and enjoy with a nice cuppa ☕️ 😉

Happy Weekend everyone 🤩 Who’s up for anoth Happy Weekend everyone 🤩 

Who’s up for another fun fitness challenge? 

This week we’re giving the abs a rest and working our legs 🦵😁

We really had to think about this one - it didn’t take too many takes before we got it but the challenge was worth it. 

So before you think I can’t do that, remember that new challenges can really help give you a confidence boost and motivate you to push even further with your personal health & fitness.

Challenges often make you think harder and demand focus too and these little fun challenges we’re doing co-ordinated to music are not only funny & uplifting but do take quite a bit of focus & thought to get right & in time 😁😂 

Research shows that mentally & physically challenging yourself not only stimulates brain function but helps to curb anxiety and depression add in some cool music & fun moves and you have a great recipe for feeling great! 

So don’t scroll on by thinking you can’t.. add a yet to that and try… you can’t do it YET but you may have fun trying and you WILL get there eventually!
